We seek passionate full-time Assistant Teachers to join our dedicated team at Children’s House of Bucks County, a cornerstone of Montessori education nestled in the heart of Fairless Hills, Pennsylvania. Role Overview: The Assistant Teacher is a key contributor to our learning environment, working closely with Lead Teachers and staff to prepare and maintain the classroom, supervise children, and foster independence among students. Ideal candidates are enthusiastic about working with young learners, demonstrating patience, open-mindedness, and a strong sense of teamwork. This role is perfect for self-motivated individuals seeking a pathway to becoming a Lead Teacher/Director/Directress through fully sponsored Montessori training.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the Lead Teacher in creating and sustaining a peaceful, engaging classroom environment.
Monitor and engage with children in the classroom and on the playground, promoting a safe and healthy learning atmosphere.
Assist with students’ individual needs, including transitions and personal care, with a respectful and nurturing approach.
Collaborate effectively with colleagues and communicate observations and insights to the Lead Teacher.
Contribute to a positive, Montessori-centered culture, focusing on the developmental needs of the children and the overall classroom climate.
Participate actively in school events, staff development days, and the continuous improvement of our educational offerings.

Requirements & Qualifications
Qualifications:
At least 2 years experience working with children, with a preference for candidates possessing or willing to gain Montessori experience.
High School Diploma required; some college or college degree preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of engaging respectfully with children, parents, and staff.
Physical ability to engage in activities requiring lifting, stooping, and kneeling.
Commitment to professional growth and development, including obtaining state-required clearances and training.
Self-motivated with a keen interest in professional advancement through Montessori training.
