About the Role
Children’s House of Bucks County invites passionate leaders to apply for the position of Head of School (HoS). As the cornerstone of our nurturing Montessori community, the HoS plays a pivotal role in steering our day-to-day operations and championing our mission to cultivate the natural curiosity and love of learning in children. We are on the lookout for a visionary leader who embodies the Montessori philosophy and ensures its faithful integration into our programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Spearhead day-to-day operations, maintaining alignment with Montessori principles.
Champion classroom teaching excellence, with a preference for Montessori-trained candidates.
Excel in communication and mediation, nurturing strong relationships among teachers, families, and the community.
Collaborate with the Board of Directors, acting as a vital liaison and leading in budget management and policy development.
Drive fundraising efforts, ensuring the school's sustainability and growth.

Requirements & Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree.
Pennsylvania teaching certificate in early childhood education or private academic nursery/kindergarten.
Proven background in early childhood education.
Commitment to Montessori philosophy, with a readiness to deepen understanding through professional development.
Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
Demonstrated business acumen, including budget planning and implementation.
Ability to cultivate transparent, collaborative relationships across the school community.
Desired Qualifications:
Experience within a Montessori school environment.
Previous leadership roles in educational settings.
Montessori certification or related continuing education.

Founded in 1965, our non-profit Montessori school is nestled in Fairless Hills, Pennsylvania. We boast a dedicated team of long-standing staff, including highly skilled teachers and support personnel, all dedicated to providing an exceptional, holistic early childhood educational experience. Our community-supported institution comprises two Pre-Primary (18 months – 3 yrs) and two Primary (3 – 6 yrs) classes, with an afternoon 1st-grade readiness/kindergarten program.
